Königlich Preußische Weinbaudomäne, Riesling Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube 1914

The label shows a right-facing eagle with the word “Naturrein” prominently displayed. An interesting note on the wines in this vertical before 1969: they were all trocken in style. According to Karsten Peter, leading the tasting, the ‘14, ‘23, ‘33, ‘49, and ‘58 all have less than 15 grams of residual sugar. Rich amber color, wonderful ethereal flavor, coupled with incredible freshness. So impressive. Wow!
