Dr. Heger, Spätburgunder Ihringer Vorderer Winklerberg GG 2021
The warmest vineyard in Germany, nearly subtropical. Volcanic soil. Wow nose. Pungent with exotic spice and green herbs, there's a big hit of cassis on the nose, followed by the undeniable smoke of volcanic Kaiserstuhl. Ripe, juicy, concentrated, and well-proportioned palate with superbly integrated oak. What else to say?
