Aldinger, Spätburgunder Fellbacher Lämmler GG 2021
Gipskeuper, Schilfsandstein, Bunter Mergel, Kieselsandstein. Holy moly! Where to begin? Simply put, this nose is on another level. Not only do we have some exotic spice from (I'm assuming) a high percentage of whole-cluster, but there's also a reductive note at play. Ripe black fruit infused with incense, crushed green herbs, singed citrus, and deeply toasted wood. The palate is salty, savory, flavor-packed, and long. Some stem and skin tannin grip the finish and hold the flavors forever on the finish.
