Friedrich Becker, Spätburgunder Schweigener Heydenreich GG 2019
Disclosure: I have a commercial relationship with this producer. See my ethics and disclosure policy.
This vineyard is located in France. Kalkstein. A deep, rich nose of fully ripened black cherries, singed citrus, and a touch of toast from well-integrated oak suggests wood smoke and cedar. Those flavors continue on the palate with mouth-watering acidity and lingering tannins—delicious and serious Pinot Noir.
