Von Winning, Riesling Forster Ungeheuer GG 2025
Fassprobe (cask sample). Here, the new wood seems better integrated than in Von Winning's '25 Pechstein GG. Smoky gunflint aromas wrapped in the toast of wood. A cool mineral impression on the palate, with lingering green herbs and oak. It's a stylistic choice, of course. Very good.
