Reichsrat von Buhl, Riesling Sekt Brut 2020

Disclosure: I import and sell this wine through The German Wine Collection. See my ethics and disclosure policy.

Sandstone, loess, and limestone. Part INOX, part Doppelstück. The producer's tech sheet states, "5 years on the yeast"; however, the AP number indicates "23" as the submission date, so ~33 months from tirage to disgorgement. 5.2 g/L RS. White mushroom, yeasty nose, freshly baked baguette, freshly sliced Granny Smith apple on the nose. A tart Riesling attack leads to lingering sour apple and lees on the finish. Delicious and "user-friendly!"
