Kühling-Gillot, Riesling Nackenheimer Rothenberg GG 2025

Disclosure: I have a commercial relationship with this producer. See my ethics and disclosure policy.

Rotliegend. Showing a whiff of S02, not at all unusual for a wine at this stage. Showing an additional notch of smoky depth next to the Gunderloch Rothenberg. More wood? Highly concentrated and deep. There's a slight burn of alcohol on the nose. Roasted pears and grilled peach. Powerful, dense, and tightly wound on the palate. It's undoubtedly a top-scoring wine, but I'll leave it at 4 stars+ for now.
