Karthäuserhof, Riesling Sekt Brut NV
Disclosure: I have a commercial relationship with this producer. See my ethics and disclosure policy.
Apple pastry and lemon peel followed by slatey minerality. One really senses the Ruwer's slate in the nose, and the Riesling character is undeniable despite the toasty notes of autolysis. Piercingly zesty on the palate, with long and lingering mineral and citrus notes on the finish. Very fine perlage.
