Friedrich Becker 'Becker Family,' Pinot Noir 2021

Disclosure: I have a commercial relationship with this producer. See my ethics and disclosure policy.

This is bottled under the Becker Family range and is not 100% estate-grown, but sourced from long-term contracts across the border in France. Vinification takes place at the winery in Schweigen, Germany. Vinified and aged for 18 months in used oak barrels. Serious Pinot Noir nose of red and black cherries, kirsch liqueur, bittersweet dark chocolate, and sweet herbs. Bright and satisfying palate with more red cherry, apple skin, and cocoa. Lovely quality at this price point.
