Wachter-Wiesler, Blaufränkisch Ried Saybritz Reserve 2021
Green schist. Wonderful spicy nose showing black peppercorn for the first time in two flights of Blaufränkisch this morning. Violets and roasted herbs overlay a sweet core of blackberry and black cherry fruit, which transfers from the nose to the palate. Chewy and dense tannins linger on the spice-driven finish. One of the best yet today.
