Meyer-Näkel, Spätburgunder Dernauer Pfarrwingert GG 2024

Disclosure: I have a commercial relationship with this producer. See my ethics and disclosure policy.

A pungent and captivating nose unlike any Pinot Noir tasted today. Dessicated flowers and autumn leaves, tobacco, and porcini mushroom accent ripe red cherry fruit on the nose. A savory saltiness follows on the palate, with lingering herbs and porcini carried well into the long finish. Totally unique.
