Gager, Blaufränkisch Ried Mitterberg Reserve 2020
Unfamiliar with the site and the producer. A loamy Ried within the Ried Altes Weingebierge in Mittelburgenland. A powerful (14.5% alc..) nose showing the most wood of this Blaufränkisch flight. Vanilla and wood spice on the nose with a ripe core of blackberry fruit. Ripe and intense blackberry fruit on the palate with lingering wood tannins and flavors of oak.
